The Asia-Pacific is well-represented in the list of world's most beautiful beaches in 2022
With searches for ‘what are the world’s most beautiful beaches’ rising by +220% over the past year, it seems that many of us are planning our next destination getaway.
A new study by e-commerce website Cult Beauty has analysed a suite of Instagram post data and compared this to the number of Google articles containing the word ‘beautiful’. The firm then used this data to compile a list of the ‘top 20 most beautiful beaches in 2022’, as rated by the collective internet.
The study places Venice Beach, California, as the most beautiful beach in the world, with the highest number of Instagram posts and over 5.4 million articles online containing the word beautiful.
The Asia-Pacific is well-represented in the list, with Australia’s Byron Bay placing second, and the Philippines’ renowned municipality El Nido on Palawan island coming third — racking up 1.2 million Instagram posts and 3.9 million articles containing the word ‘beautiful’ in 2022.
Bondi Beach in Australia, Thailand’s Sunrise Beach in Koh Lipe and the Long Beach of Phu Quoc in Vietnam also all make the top ten.

Venice Beach in California topped the poll of world’s most beautiful beaches
El Nido is a remote coastal town located in the northernmost tip of Palawan island in the Philippines. Known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, towering limestone cliffs, and numerous pristine beaches, El Nido is regarded as a gateway to some of the region’s finest cruising grounds.
One of the most popular beaches in El Nido is Nacpan Beach, which is a long stretch of powdery white sand and clear turquoise waters. Another popular option is Las Cabanas Beach, which is a quieter spot with stunning views of the sunset.
“With worldwide travel back up and running, it seems that many people are on the lookout for the perfect summer holiday destination, and we all want to post the perfect beach shot on our social media accounts,” says a Cult Beauty spokesperson. “Our study reveals the most Insta-worthy destinations, so rest assured that you will be able to get the most beautiful snaps if you’re planning on going to one of these destinations.”
