Ana Marina, the first full-service international-standard yacht marina in Vietnam, started a one-year pilot operation on Wednesday 19 April.

The marina is located in the resort city of Nha Trang, in the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

Designed to accommodate up to 200 yachts, Ana Marina is situated about 7km from Nha Trang’s downtown area and is part of the 40-hectare Marina Park owned by Ana Marina JSC. It is capable of hosting domestic and international yachts and sailboats and can facilitate tourism, sports, and cultural events.

As a joint effort between the local developer and the international team led by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, the marina has been designed to include a boatyard, chandlery, fuel berth, F&B facilities, offices, conference hall, meeting rooms, gym, and entertainment centre. The floating concrete pontoon system was provided by Marinetek.

Speaking to Vietnam News, Ana Marina JSC’s general director, Dang Hieu Minh, noted the marina’s prime location, which links marine traffic between Southeast Asia and North Asia and connects seaports in Vietnam with Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia. The marina is expected to contribute significantly to the development of unique and captivating tourism products for both domestic and international visitors to Nha Trang.

The pilot operation phase will last for one year, and this year’s ninth Hong Kong-Nha Trang International Yacht Race will end at Ana Marina. The competition, which began in 2004 and takes place every two years, is now officially underway.
