The Tauranga-based dealership will provide sales, servicing and support while working with Azimut in Italy on yacht builds.
The Nautical Group has been appointed the official Azimut Yachts dealer in New Zealand, representing the Italian yacht builder across the country. The dealership will handle new yacht sales as well as after-sales, warranty, servicing and ongoing owner support.
The appointment follows the sale of two Azimut Grande 27M yachts by The Nautical Group earlier this year. One was a new build from Italy, while the other was a pre-owned 2020 model, giving the brokerage experience with both new-build and pre-owned Azimut yachts.
The Nautical Group was founded by James Dalzell and Jessie Moller. Dalzell, the company’s founder, managing director and head broker, has more than 15 years of experience in yachting and became a captain at 22. His experience includes working aboard Azimut yachts.
The company’s team includes superyacht captains who have overseen global builds from 25m to 135m with leading shipyards. Its services also cover itinerary planning, engineering, company structuring and tax support for vessels based in Europe.
The dealership will operate from a new showroom at 197 Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. The space will be used for local client meetings and to showcase Azimut Yachts. Its interior design will draw on Azimut’s aesthetic and Italian design heritage.
The Nautical Group will work with clients and Azimut in Italy during the purchase, customisation and build process.
