Over 5,000 people are expected to take part, as visitors, participants, volunteers and supporting sponsors. Since its inception in 2002, the event has raised over HK$10 million for its chosen charities. The weekend will also feature a carnival village for visitors, with plenty of activities, events and stalls to entertain the whole family.

Free trials of water sports and activities

HHYC’s 24-Hour Charity Dinghy Race is more than a race: it is a social occasion encouraging attendees and their families to explore new and different things. Anyone wishing to experience water sports first-hand — adults, couples, families, or children — will be welcomed by HHYC instructors to enjoy a free trial of watersports including sailing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and dragon boating for the general public on both days.
