TAG Heuer returns to its nautical heritage with the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer.
Following in the footsteps of the 1949 Heuer Solunar, the first wristwatch displaying permanent tide times, the Heuer Aquastar worn by the crew of the Intrepid in its America’s Cup bid against Australia’s Dame Pattie, and the eye-catching 1968 Heuer Skipper chronograph, born from the Intrepid’s victory, the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer channels 75 years of maritime innovation.

Powered by the in-house Calibre TH20-04 movement, the new special version of the TAG Heuer Carrera signature glassbox design features a tide indication, which tracks the lunar cycle, at 9 o’clock, and a fixed 24-hour ring (numbered 0 to 12 twice for AM and PM) framing the subdial. Once set, the complication continuously displays whether the tide is rising or falling and indicates the approximate time of the next high or low tide.

With 60-second and 30-minute subdials and a colour scheme that includes ‘Intrepid Teal’ on the hour and minute hands, the new 42 mm Carrera features a brushed and polished steel case, curved, 18k yellow gold-plated indexes, and a triangular-shaped marker at 12 o’clock – a feature present on all of today’s Carrera exploration watches.

With an 80-hour power reserve, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer is presented with a seven-row steel bracelet, a sophisticated re-interpretation of a heritage ‘beads of rice’ design that unites comfort and character with an exceptional aesthetic.
