Sunseeker International has announced the sale of four Manhattan 68 yachts into Southeast Asia. The first is due to arrive in Thailand by March 2021, followed by one in Singapore and two in Hong Kong.
Sunseeker has designed an optional layout especially for the Asia market, a model known as the Manhattan 68 Pacific. Featuring a newly configured saloon layout with double over-sized U-shaped sofas on the main deck, the 68 Pacific has been designed to maximise entertaining space on board. The new layout has received much interest, and one confirmed sale to a client in Hong Kong.
“The Manhattan range is proving very popular with our customers in Asia,” says Sean Robertson, sales director at Sunseeker International. “We have seen significant interest in the Manhattan 68, and we are excited to deliver the first yachts to customers in 2021.”
The Manhattan 68 is powered by Volvo Penta IPS, and has a maximum top speed of 32 knots. She can reach a range of 550 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots. Inside, she comfortably accommodates up to eight guests and two crew.
In February, Sunseeker announced a new sales structure across Asia, with six distributors announced across the region for one of the world’s biggest names in production motor yachts.
In the key market of Hong Kong, NextWave Yachting is now distributor. NextWave Yachting is a full-service company that offers new and used yacht sales, charter and toy sales, having grown rapidly over the past few years.
In Thailand, Sunseeker will continue to be represented by Marine Max Asia, whose founder, Craig Murphy, is a longstanding dealer for Sunseeker under Sunseeker Asia. HYS Yachts, a refit and repair yard based in Subic Bay, the Philippines, was appointed Sunseeker dealer for that country in 2018 and will continue in this role. In Singapore, Sunseeker M will be distributor for the city-state after working as dealer for the past three years.
“Our new distribution structure in Asia brings Sunseeker closer to the market,” adds Robertson. “The appointment of six world-class distributors, excelling in customer sales and servicing support, primes Sunseeker for future growth in the region.”
