Regatta is set to become an annual occasion in the superyacht calendar.

South Pacific Superyacht Rendezvous

Organisers of The Superyacht Gathering have revealed details of the inaugural South Pacific Superyacht Rendezvous, which takes place in Fiji in August.

The event will be held among the idyllic islands of Fiji from 28-30 August 2024, uniting the superyacht community in the tropical waters of the South Seas. It is set to become an annual occasion in the superyacht calendar.

Designed for a multi-generational group of international and local yachties, the event programme will feature barefoot beach parties interspersed with friendly regattas for sailing and motor yachts measuring over 22 metres.

The racecourse will weave through the volcanic archipelago of the Mamanuca Islands, exploring the setting of Robert Zemeckis’ Hollywood film Cast Away.

Taking place one month after the 2024 Olympic surf competition in Tahiti, French Polynesia, the South Pacific Superyacht Rendezvous invites owners, friends, crew, and industry experts to cast off and voyage to Fiji for a further taste of the Southern Hemisphere.

“The Superyacht Gathering is all about building a strong community of owners and industry professionals in the South Pacific,” explained founder Linda Berry. “Together, we are working towards luring superyachts away from traditional cruising areas so that they can discover what this stunning region has to offer.”

Since its inception in 2019, the mission of The Superyacht Gathering has been to foster personal connections that promote positive change within our unique industry.

The overall regatta winner will be presented with the historic 1997 President’s Cup, deeded to the event by Fiji Yachting Association. The yacht’s name will sit on the plinth alongside some of the great racing yachts of the South Pacific.
