Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, has announced the first sale of an SL96 Asymmetric in Asia, into Hong Kong. The 29.26m SL96A made its debut at the 2020 Düsseldorf Boat Show and has proven popular, with several units sold around the world this year.
This news follows the recent sale of the first SL102 Asymmetric into Hong Kong.
The SL96A has been created with the aim of making the most of its interior space to provide a connection to the outside areas. The design rethinks traditional yacht layouts by retaining the side decks on the starboard side and eliminating the port side one, which is carried on the roof of the superstructure. This increases the available interior space by 10 square metres.
The SL96A and larger sister SL102A are both scheduled for summer delivery in 2021.
“This newly sold SL96A will be a beautiful addition to the fast-expanding Sanlorenzo fleet in Hong Kong,” says Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager. “We feel very proud to see that the Asymmetric concept has been so well received in Asia, with more projects to be finalised in the near future. The unique ideas introduced by Sanlorenzo all have one common goal: to make better use of space and enable owners to enjoy their time on board in maximum comfort, harmony and safety.”
Sanlorenzo in Asia has registered a strong 2020 so far, with eight Sanlorenzo yachts commissioned within the first eight months of the year.
The Italian builder’s 44Alloy and SD96 are both expected to arrive into Asia early next year. Sanlorenzo Asia will also have a presence at the upcoming Hong Kong International Yacht Show in November, with a selection of the yard’s lineup on display including the SX76, SL86 and the Bluegame BGX70, which is making its Asian premiere.
