The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (May 23-26) will host the Australian builder's eighth annual festival and four world premieres

Australian luxury motor yacht builder Riviera will host the eighth edition of its popular annual Riviera and Belize Festival of Boating at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show this year on May 23-26.

Riviera will also be presenting four world premieres at SCIBS. While details of the new models are a secret, Riviera has confirmed they will form part of a stunning 11-yacht showcase surrounding its prestigious Riviera Motor Yacht Club at the end of the Sanctuary Cove Marina’s Pier F.

Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst revealed the news at a spectacular photo shoot that captured an armada of nine Riviera yachts in front of the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort. “Sanctuary Cove offers our guests and Riviera and Belize owners an incredible array of venues to experience the boating inspiration, education and fun that the Festival of Boating has become famous for,” he said.

SCIBS General Manager Johan Hasser said Riviera’s decision to host its festival and multiple world launches at Sanctuary Cove was a huge boost for the event. “We are thrilled that Rodney and his team have chosen SCIBS as the venue for the 2019 edition of the Riviera and Belize Festival of Boating,” he said. “The Festival has a proud history and we look forward to working with Riviera to ensure that its future is just as bright at Sanctuary Cove.”

Selected models from every one of Riviera’s five collections of motor yachts will be on display in what will be the company’s biggest showcase in one location in Australia this year. Registered visitors will be guided by a Riviera representative as they inspect sophisticated Sport Yachts, sporty and adventurous SUVs, blue-water Flybridge models, long-range and luxurious Sports Motor Yachts and classic-styled Belize motor yachts.

“For almost four decades, Riviera has developed an internationally respected heritage, launching more than 5400 yachts in this time, and these new motor yachts, the latest in a very distinguished line, will take our design and style to yet another level in luxury,” Mr Longhurst said. “The alfresco layouts, merging the welcoming and superbly equipped cockpit spaces with luxurious and comfortable interiors, are the hallmark of Riviera.”

“Our highly awarded international designers, engineers and master craftsmen are continually refining the designs and easy-to-use technology and equipment aboard our motor yachts that make the joy of Riviera ownership a sheer pleasure.”

Mr Longhurst said Riviera and Belize Festival of Boating seminars would be held at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort and onboard the Riviera Motor Yacht Club and multiple yachts on the water. They will include the Riviera team presenting comprehensive educational seminars and hands-on workshops, with new content reflecting owners’ specific interests and the very latest technology onboard Riviera and Belize motor yachts.

Mr Longhurst said he was also delighted to announce this year’s Living the Riviera Dream seminar would be presented by David and Lis Paton, who recently returned from a circumnavigation and live-aboard adventure on their Riviera 53 Enclosed Flybridge Pascua Lama in Tasmania.

The Riviera Motor Yacht Club will be the hub for open-air and on-water workshops including the popular Ask The Experts panel, the Fishing Clinic and Offshore Seamanship. It will also host the incredibly popular Galley Wise – Planning and Provisioning seminar where renowned cook Sally Jenyns will cook an onboard banquet with flair and ease using appliances from a Riviera galley.

The Riviera and Belize Festival of Boating will also include two signature fun events – the Ladies Luncheon, to be held at the InterContinental Resort, and the Riviera Gala onboard the Riviera Motor Yacht Club.
