The large-scale beach carnival will feature a waterpark with water toys and yacht charter packages
Luxury yacht dealer Nextwave has joined forces with production company Yiu Wing Live to present a beach music festival in Hong Kong — The Nextwave beach carnival — taking place from July 29-30 2023 at the Tai Pak Wan beach in Discovery Bay.
Presented by headline sponsor Hang Seng as part of its 90th-anniversary celebrations, The Nextwave beach carnival features more than 20 music groups from Hong Kong and Taiwan will perform, including Eric Chou, Jay Fung, Jeffrey Ngai, Crowd Lu, Kolor, ToNick, Namxsis, Nowhere Boys, King@C AllStar, Alex Chou, Sabrina Cheung, Jaime Cheung, Instinct of Sight, NiLiu, Roberto Ma, and DJ Sidtrus.
The beach music festival, which is for adults over 18 only, also features over 30 luxury lifestyle brands, including Moet & Chandon, Red Bull, AquaBanas, Spinera and Yachtbeach, which have collaborated to set up a large-scale water park with water slides and various water toys. Spinner slides, flamingos, and over 100 floaties will be on hand to enhance the on-water experience.
Yacht charter at the Nextwave beach carnival
The Nextwave organisers offer three charter packages: Sea and Land, The Elite Cabana, and exclusive mooring for yacht owners in front of the stage.
Sea & Land will offer custom-branded yacht charters for brands during the event, while yacht owners will also have exclusive access to the water park area during the shows.
In addition to yacht charters, Nextwave is also offering the Elite Cabana and Sea Elite Cabana packages. Unfortunately, all Elite Cabana packages have already sold out. However, the firm still offers the option for yacht owners to berth next to each other.
Guests who are interested in securing yacht packages for the festival should contact Nextwave Yachting directly.
“We have been planning for The Nextwave Festival for three years, starting with smaller events ranging from 20 to 100 people,” says Justin Choy, marketing director of Nextwave Yachting. “We even had plans for a 1000-person event before it was unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic.
“Now that the Covid situation has improved, we believe it’s the perfect time to launch The Nextwave festival and celebrate this special moment in Hong Kong. Boat owners, yacht fans, and watersports enthusiasts should be particularly excited about The Nextwave beach music festival. It is the first event in Hong Kong to meet worldwide standards, offering more than just a music concert.
“With our Mediterranean-style decoration and construction, attendees can expect a unique and exhilarating experience that combines the love for music with a beachside atmosphere.”
