The 68’ Diable is a new addition to the Italian brand's Open range of yachts

68' DiableItaly’s Ferretti Group has teased details of Riva’s upcoming 68’ Diable, which is due for summer 2021.

The 68’ Diable, which is a new addition to the brand’s Open range of yachts, is based on Riva’s former Diable, which in turn was based on the Riva Super America hull.

The project has been penned by Mauro Micheli – the founder of Officina Italiana Design with Sergio Beretta –  working in partnership with the Product Strategy Committee, led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.

A new hardtop offers a clean, linear design that hides the technical and technological equipment from sight, as well as protecting and sheltering the central part of the yacht, including the dining area and the helm station on the main deck.

The sunroof of the 68’ Diable has a two-way opening mechanism that allows for forward and backward motion, while the cockpit furnishings include two big sunpads – one in the form of a chaise-longue at the water’s edge, and one that can be shaded, along with the dining area, by an automatic powered bimini system built into the hardtop.

The lower deck features three ensuite cabins sleeping six guests, arranged around a living space containing a galley and a dinette.
