The 9.4-metre outboard motorboat is on schedule to be delivered to its local owners by early May

Swiss-based Pyxis Yachts has made its debut on the Asia market, after selling a new Pyxis 30wa into Hong Kong. The 9.4-metre outboard motorboat is on schedule to be delivered to its local owners by early May.

The 30wa is billed as a multipurpose weekend cruiser and can accommodate up to eight passengers. It has a master double and a guest double cabin.

The 30wa was designed by Italian duo Alessandro Chessa from Akes Design, who oversaw the overall concept, and Carlo Galeazzi at Galeazzi Design, who handled interiors and styling.

“Together with the steep rise in sales witnessed in early 2021 in the EU, this is another huge milestone for us at Pyxis Yachts, and our dealership network is quickly expanding as well,” said co-founder Henry Apollonj from the company’s Verbier offices.

“For a new brand to emerge in such a competitive market while facing the tough challenges of a global emergency was an extremely tall order, but it’s now that the value of our business model and the resulting quality of our products are effectively proving their true strength.”

The sale was finalised by Kevin Corfa at Embasea Ltd, and VP Yachts, who accompanied the clients through the process.

“The new owners have selected the brand for its design and its high-quality finish. The boat is particularly suitable for Hong Kong waters and will enable them to dramatically save on fuel thanks to its efficient deep-V hull, which also guarantees great performances and safety at all times,” says Corfa.

“The Pyxis 30wa is extremely stable, easy to handle, and behaves great on the water, so they’ll enjoy the long boating season that Hong Kong offers. We are very excited to finally see her and get to cruise around our top spots.”
