The 15-metre luxury cat is part of the French brand's new M-Line

Prestige Yachts has announced details of its new M-Line and the line’s first model, the M48 power catamaran.

It’s the first power cat from the French builder, which is a brand under the Beneteau Group. The 15-metre luxury motor yacht will be powered by two Volvo D4 V-Drive 320Hp engines, for a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed between 8 and 18 knots. Owners can choose from a 3- or 4-cabin layout, to accommodate either six or eight people, plus a crew cabin. Each cabin has its own head with shower.

The stern platform can be transformed into a tender lift, a beach club and even a garage for a tender and water toys. The vessel offers an impressive 130 sqm of volume on board a 15-metre unit.

With more strength and stability, as well as increased volumes in living areas, catamarans are an increasingly popular segment in the market, and boatbuilders are responding.

Naval architecture comes from Garroni Design and Philippe Briand, while the interior design is by Valentina Militerno de Romedis. Prestige’s in-house engineering department is credited with concept and design.

Prestige Yachts says “With its surprising characteristics, unique in its segment, the M48 offers unparalleled freedom of movement and stability to experience peaceful moments at sea. This multihull yacht reveals generous, brightly lit and refined living spaces, affording the ultimate in comfort. It promises life in harmony with the sea and at a gentle pace.”
