Benetti is displaying its longest-ever yacht, the 108m IJE, while Azimut shows new flagship Grande Trideck and Grande 35 Metri

Benetti has headlined the Monaco Yacht Show, the world’s leading superyacht event, with the flagship 108-metre steel superyacht IJE.

This custom creation, with exterior design and decor by British design studio RWD, is the longest yacht on display at the show, and is the longest yacht ever built by the Italian yard. Built in 2019 for Australian billionaire James Packer, she is currently for sale through Burgess with an asking price of €175m.

IJE boasts over 1,000 square meters of exterior across five decks, with 11 cabins and space for 22 guests, including a private owner’s deck. She features a heated swimming pool on the main deck, the requisite collection of water toys and two 12-metre tenders, an observation deck and an outdoor fireplace on the bridge deck, a dedicated gym, cinema and nightclub. Benetti is also showing the 65-meter mega yacht Zazou, and the first unit of Diamond 44M – a 44-meter fibreglass yacht. Benetti hosted a press event outlining the 10 superyachts it currently has in build. Among them are four yachts boasting an Oasis Deck, which features a large aft deck area and swimming pool. Benetti Chief Commercial Officer Sebastiano Fanizza noted that future yachts from Benetti over 50 metres would all have this feature.

Meanwhile, Benetti’s parent company Azimut yachts has been showcasing its new flagship Grande Trideck and Grande 35 Metri at the Monaco Yacht Show, which runs from September 22-25.

At 38 metres, the Grande Trideck is the largest yacht the brand has ever built, and is the new flagship of the collection. It launched earlier this year and made its debut this month at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which ran from September 7-12.

Meanwhile the Grande 35 Metri has drawn praise for its use of space and the sheer number of living areas for a yacht of its size category. It has taut exterior design by Stefano Righini, while Achille Salvagni designed the refined interiors.

The Grande Trideck is a product of the shipyard’s collaboration with Alberto Mancini, who designed the exteriors, interior designer Achille Salvagni, and Pierluigi Ausonio, who developed the naval architecture with the in-house Azimut Benetti R&D department.

Azimut Grande 36 Metri

On the back of a successful last 12 months, Azimut Benetti has recently confirmed it will release five new models in 2022: two new models from the Grande Collection, two models from the crossover Magellano Collection, and a new Azimut S7, a fast sports coupe.

The two new models in the Grande Collection for 2022 will be the 26 Metri, billed as a compact superyacht with five cabins including the owner’s suite, and the 36 Metri, which has a range of layout options and functionality for prospective buyers.
