The luxury sailing cat is designed for ease of handling and leisure, and features modular front and aft cockpits
The first Lagoon 46 in Pattaya has recently arrived into the Gulf of Thailand, after a successful sale represented by Simpson Marine Thailand.
To mark the occasion, the owner and friends were joined by a local YouTube influencer during an official handover ceremony on the luxurious sailing catamaran.
The French multihull builder has already seen strong sales of this new 13.99-metre model into Asia.
The 46 is designed for ease of handling and leisure, and features modular front and aft cockpits, as well as a special cooking area to the back that provides practical access to the sea.
A larger sail plan offers better sail surface/displacement ratio, and the mast is stepped further aft as a result of naval architect VPLP‘s racing experience.
The owner of this particular Lagoon 46 will put the yacht into a charter programme with the Simpson Yacht Charter division, with bookings available from April 1 onwards. She will be the only Lagoon 46 available for charter in the Gulf of Thailand.
Lagoon has also recently launched the new Lagoon 55, featuring design and naval architecture by its “power trio” of outstanding names in multihull design: naval architects VPLP, former car designer turned yacht designer Patrick le Quément, and frequent collaborators Nauta Design for the interiors.
