Covid restrictions meant the owner made the purchase without seeing the yacht for himself
The 43m Feadship motor yacht Eclipse has been sold in-house by Camper & Nicholsons Asia, with senior advisor Carmen Lau representing the buyer, and senior sales broker Alex Lees-Buckley representing the seller. She had been asking US$7,600,000.
“I am delighted to have handled the sale of this exceptional Feadship once again,” said Lees-Buckley.¬†”Having sold her new, this is the fifth time that I have handled her sale. We are all delighted to see her remaining amongst the Camper and Nicholsons fleet as she sets off to Asia shortly.”
C&N could not confirm which country in Asia Eclipse will be arriving in.
Steel-hulled Eclipse was custom-built in 1993 at the DeVries shipyard in Holland, and designed by De Voogt Naval Architects. She was refitted in 2008 and has remained a popular fixture on the charter market thanks to her luxurious interior design by Terrance Disdale.
Eclipse offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six ensuite cabins with a master stateroom, two doubles, two twins and a single cabin with a Pullman bed adjacent to the master. Crew quarters can accommodate 10 people.
Eclipse also boasts a large sundeck with a Jacuzzi, a spacious bridge deck lounge with deck area aft, another lounging area forward of the bridge, and an open-plan main deck saloon with dining area.
“This was an unique experience,” says C&N’s Lau. “Due to several Covid-related travel restrictions, the buyer has been unable to see the yacht himself. It was an honour to have been trusted by him to conduct the inspection and to complete the purchase on his behalf. We are looking forward to welcoming her in Asia.”
