Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba of Palomba Serafini studio have chosen to embark on a new collaboration with Amer Yachts to create interiors for the yard’s new F100 Glass Cabin project.

Working on the latest creation of the Permare shipyard, which was established in Sanremo in 1973 and which is known for producing innovative, elegant, efficient, and sustainable products, the designers will bring their elegant yet contemporary insights to the new 29.60-metre project.

The new F100 Glass Cabin model, which, with a hull length of less than 24 meters remains within the yacht category, will be developed over three spacious levels and will be powered by four Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1200 engines.

Consistent with its philosophy, the Palomba Serafini Studio has focused on studying the human dimension within the space, defining the design of both the interior and exterior areas, making significant adjustments to ensure functionality and elegance.

Ludovica and Roberto Palomba embraced the project with the intent of giving the F100 Glass Cabin a refined image that reflects both the studio’s signature and the essence of Amer, aiming to create a fusion of engineering and harmony.

“Certainly, our perspective brings a fresh look, an architecturalvision rooted in the world of architecture and interior design adapted to the realm of yacht design,” says Roberto Palomba. “From the beginning, our focus has been on creating a space where the environments blend harmoniously, allowing for fluidity between the interior and exterior of the yacht.”

In the conceptualisation of the spaces, the guiding principle has been, as is customary in the architects’ projects, the combination of elegance and functionality, driven by a constant pursuit of refinement: spacious, lightened, andfunctional spaces that maintain a strong sense of livability and hospitality.

It is within this vision that certain design choices are made, such as the extensive use of glass: the F100 Glass Cabin features larger windows compared to other yachts of similar size, creating greater openness and light while establishing continuous contact with the sea. Inside the yacht, smoked glass is used to delineate the interior spaces in a sophisticated manner. Furthermore, the choice of warm, coordinated smoked colors also serves the purpose of providing more privacy to specific areas.

The interior design of the main deck aims to create an inviting and pleasant environment where guests can enjoy moments of conviviality and sharing.

Its main feature is the spacious living area, where comfort and elegance take center stage thanks to the Atoll sofa collection by B&B Italia. In the dining area, the focus is on the Eileen table by B&B Italia, crafted in precious polished Sahara marble. Both the sofa and the table add a touch of refinement and quality to the space, enhancing its luxury and exclusivity.

“We laid the foundation of the project by collaborating with the shipyard’s engineers on the boat’s design, optimizing the spaces and softening the lines. This allowed us to create a scenographic wall in the living area that acts as a backdrop, seamlessly integrating the staircase,” says Ludovica Serafini.

Characterised by neutral colors with references to natural elements, the choice of using parquet flooring, light sand tones on the upholstery, and tobacco-colored eco-leather inserts.

On the main deck, in addition to the kitchen, behind the large glass of the dining area, you’ll find the luxurious owner’s cabin at the bow, the most spacious one, equipped with a large bathroom and a walk-in closet, also designed with a soft colour palette.

Moving up to the fly deck, an area the architects conceived as an intimate open-air lounge, guests can enjoy breathtaking sunsets on the seats from the brand Talenti‘s new Venice collection, designed by the Palomba Serafini studio. For the first time, it is integrated into a project that perfectly reflects its original inspiration. Continuing to the dining area, you’ll encounter the Riviera collection, also by Talenti and exclusively designed for the world of yachting.

For the outdoor furnishings as well, the aim was to create a sophisticated and comfortable environment that gives the impression of an extension between the onboard space and the beauty of the sea view.

Among the other design considerations made by the studio in optimizing spaces and rethinking clean lines and volumes that aimed for simplification, significant work was done on the staircase connecting the different decks. Usually sacrificed due to space constraints, in this case, the architects designed a model that was not onlypractical, as it was spacious and easy to pass through, but also carefully detailed like the rest of the interior. For example, the handrail was covered in tobacco-colored eco-leather.

Finally, the lower deck houses four guest cabins, designed and furnished while adhering to the color palette that characterizes the entire interior of the F100 Glass Cabin.
