Bocelli was looking for an explorer yacht that allowed him and his family to sail far and wide in comfort, even in the most severe weather conditions. The Darwin 86 fulfills his wishes perfectly: not too large and not too complicated to operate (with maximum crew of four, registered under the 200 GT and extremely fuel efficient) yet large enough to offer full comfort during long passages. Right after the handover, he set course for Naples. Despite facing rough seas, Bocelli arrived on time and relaxed to hold a concert.

Airy and spacious with a 2.10m headroom, Stella del Nord features a very subtle and elegant elm wood interiors and iroko floorings, two saloons, guest cabins on the lower deck including a spacious and comfortable owner suite amidship, a proper lazarette to store supplies, a spacious sundeck and a five-metre tender on the upper deck. Her pedigree as sturdy and well-equipped explorer vessel is proven by the cruising record of her sister ship M/Y Percheron which completed three successful Atlantic crossings.
