Turkey is an increasingly appealing destination for international yachting enthusiasts
Turkish boat dealer Pluvinda has signed an agreement with Cantiere Mimì to sell the yard’s planing gozzi yachts across Turkey.
The Istanbul-based firm will initially distribute the Walkaround and Sport versions of Mimì’s Libeccio 8.50 and the Libeccio 9.50 Walkaround, before progressing to the 11 Cabin, the first gozzo yacht in the series with a rigid hard top, which offers two separate cabins.
The Campania-based shipyard Mimì now has a list of distributors operating in over 20 countries. It says other gozzo yachts will soon be available from the range — designed by Valerio Rivellini — with lengths ranging from 6.5 to 13.5 metres.

Mimì chose the 2022 Genoa Boat Show for the world premiere of its new 2023 version of the Libeccio 11 Walkaround, which was exhibited in the water alongside five of the boatbuilder’s other models.
Cantiere Mimì says its gozzo yachts are proving to be increasingly popular in various areas of high tourism potential such as Croatia – where its partnership with Navis Marine has recently been strengthened – and Turkey, an increasingly appealing destination for international yachting enthusiasts with its 8,000 km coastline studded with hundreds of islands.

Sunreef Yachts, the luxury multihull builder from Poland, opened a new sales office in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2022.
Founder and president Francis Lapp says the company’s latest move reflects a growing pull into Asia for the luxury yacht industry. “Recent trends clearly show that yachting is heading East,” said Lapp at the time. “I am proud of our new office in Istanbul, bringing us closer to our Turkish customers.”
