There will be around 650 boats on display between September 6-11, at the first major international event of the season
With just days until festivities commence, anticipation is now riding high for the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival.
From 6 to 11 September, Europe’s largest in-water show becomes the first major international event of the season. Vistors can explore the latest yachts, innovative nautical equipment, exclusive high-end services and much more on display.
There are 135 global premieres set to take place at Cannes this year, including the Sanlorenzo SP110, Aquila 54, Sunseeker 100 Yacht, Riva’s 102 Corsaro Super, 56 Fly by Absolute Yachts, Gulf Craft Majesty 120, 70 Sunreef Power, Azimut 30 Metri Magellano, and Benetti Oasis 34.

The Sanlorenzo SP110 makes its world premiere at Cannes 2022
“Thanks to the renewed confidence of our exhibitors, this 2022 edition is shaping up to be a very good one with projections for 550 exhibitors and 140 previews, in line with the previous year,” says Sylvie Ernoult, director of the Yachting Festival, adding that there are more boats this year than ever, with close to 650 units being exhibited.
“Our visitors will enjoy discovering some real gems in-water and on land, boats of all types, equipped with traditional engines or anticipating the future with the first on-board electric, hybrid or hydrogen power systems,” she adds. “We are delighted to support our exhibitors in their eco-friendly development by enabling them to showcase their innovations, in particular through our ‘Green Route’ and ‘Innovation Village’.
“Little by little, the nautical industry is improving its environmental footprint, and we too are following suit by developing our own eco-responsible commitments within the framework of the organisation of this exhibition — for example: less paper, better waste management, etcetera.”
The Cannes Yachting Festival is a key event in the world’s yachting calendar, and the first major show of the season. It was forced to take a hiatus in 2020 due to Covid. It returned with much fanfare in 2021., clocking a record attendance.
