As yacht owners increasingly look to wellness, a new sun shade offers the perfect respite on the water.
We all love being on the water, but it’s also where the sun can be at its harshest. Fortunately, water lifestyle gear brand BOTE has created the Hangout Shade, a portable sun protection canopy that offers UPF 50+ protection.
The company, known for its paddle boards, kayaks, floats and accessories, has created the Hangout Shade to provide coverage for extended on-water lounge sessions and to complement BOTE’s Hangout Dock 7 and Hangout Dock 10 floating dock concepts.
Built around an AeroTech PVC Inflatable Frame, the Hangout Shade is available in two sizes: the Shade 7, offering around 49 sq ft of shade, and Shade 10, offering around 100 sq ft of shade.
The UPF 50+ canopy features mesh sidewalls for airflow, soft grab handles, low-profile attachment loops, and Halkey-Roberts spring-loaded air valves, and is easy to set up, pack, and transport.
Designed to be as comfortable on the water as on land as a shade structure, the new addition comes with a hand pump, DockLink attachment straps, a water-resistant travel bag, and a repair kit. Sand anchors, sold separately, are also available.
