Bluegame has teamed up with K-Challenge LAB SAS, the parent company of the Orient Express Racing team, which is France’s representative at the 2024 America’s Cup.

It is the second team, after the New York’ American Magic, to entrust its official chase boat production to Bluegame.

The BGH-HSV is powered solely by hydrogen, achieving zero emissions on the water, and can reach speeds of up to 50 knots on foils.

Bluegame, which has expertise in America’s Cup technology, says it has crafted the BGH-HSV to embody the pinnacle of sustainability and innovation.

With veterans Stephan Kandler and Bruno Dubois leading the Orient Express Racing team project, Bluegame’s selection as the builder of the chase boat marks a significant milestone in the brand’s journey toward excellence and innovation in the yachting industry.

Building on the success of the BGH-HSV project, Bluegame is set to launch the BGM65HH (hydrogen-hybrid) multihull project in 2026, promising 80 miles of zero-emission navigation. Meanwhile, K-Challenge, now the Orient Express Team, has diligently prepared for France’s return to the Cup as a competitive force.

Sébastien Bazin, president and CEO of French hospitality company Accor, emphasises the company’s ‘commitment to eco-responsibility’ and its support for French sailing teams.
