The gigayacht was christened in the Viareggio shipyard during "Benetti Giga Season" in Livorno, Italy

In December 2018 during the “Benetti Giga Season” in Livorno, Italy, Good Day, the fourth unit of Mediterraneo 116′ (35.5m) yacht in the Class product line, was christened in the waters of the Viareggio shipyard. This yacht has refined exterior lines created by designer Giorgio M. Cassetta.

Good Day is a displacement yacht with a fiberglass hull and carbon-fibre superstructure. Cassetta, also behind the other three Mediterraneo 116’ units, designed for those who love the sea and who want to fully enjoy navigation.

The exterior design is this model’s distinguishing characteristic and demonstrates Benetti’s goal of creating a light but impressive yacht with slim, curved lines. Benetti’s Interiors Style Department designed interior layout, involving the ship owner in the process, who desired distinctive customisations, which became the main theme of the project. This resulted in a great variety of eye-catching materials used in different areas.

The concept of the decor is focused on the alternating use of three types of wood that combined to create an interesting visual effect. In the lower deck tay, tanganyika and elm were used; for the upper deck, only elm and tanganyika were used.

The boat is also embellished with marble details and mosaics in the bathrooms. The owner chose travertine stone, shara noir and Port Laurent marble finishings, and the colours “Ermosa” and “Blue Sea”.

On the main deck, the main saloon is enhanced by the welcoming sofas and hosts a dining area with a round 12-seater table. Conviviality and comfort were key for the owner, who requested dining areas on all decks, along with a relaxation area with a swimming pool on the bow of the upper deck. The full-beam owner’s suite is located on the main dck, equipped with a comfortable wardrobe and characterised by large panoramic glazed surfaces that bath the area with light. The owner also requested the addition of a bathtub and a shower bench in the master bathroom.

On the lower deck are four guest cabins, while the upper deck, connected to the sun deck by an elevator, includes a karaoke area equipped with comfortable sofas. The area is also embellished by a large wine cellar. The kitchen is carefully equipped with a steam oven and a modern wok system.

Finally, the sun deck is distinguished by the arrival station of the elevator, a large and comfortable dining area and a space dedicated to relaxation.
