Axopar Boats has appointed yacht sales and services company Simpson Marine as its official dealer in Indonesia. Finnish boatbuilder Axopar says the partnership marks a ‘significant milestone’ in its expanding presence in the Asian market.

The news comes after Hong Kong-based yacht dealership Asiamarine became the exclusive Axopar dealer in Hong Kong in January.

Axopar, celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2024, has developed a diverse range of day boat models, including the lauded Axopar 22, the new Axopar 29, the Axopar 37 and the flagship 45 range.

“The appointment of Simpson Marine as Axopar’s official dealer in Indonesia opens up a world of opportunities,” says Richard Allen, COO of Simpson Marine Group. “Axopar’s unique design, versatility and performance, combined with Simpson Marine’s expertise and strong presence in Asia, will undoubtedly create a powerful synergy. We are excited to see the potential of Axopar in Indonesia, the world’s biggest archipelago, with over 17,800 islands to explore and an ideal location for the adventure seeking boat owners sharing the Axopar ethos.”

Paul Whelan, Simpson Marine Indonesia’s Country Manager, echoes Allen’s sentiments. “Axopar’s entry into the Indonesian market signifies a new chapter in the boating industry and has been received with strong anticipation by our customers. With Simpson Marine’s robust network and support throughout the country and region and Axopar’s extensive range of boats with flexible layout and cabin arrangements, we are confident that this partnership will redefine the boating experience in Indonesia and expand the market further, welcoming more boaters to the fold.”

Johan Holm, Axopar’s head of sales, adds: “We are excited to welcome Simpson Marine as our newest dealer in Southeast Asia, covering and serving the beautiful waters in picture-perfect Indonesia. Asia is an important, growing market for Axopar, and the appointment of Simpson Marine will further strengthen Axopar’s presence there.”
