Many thousands of leading marine professionals are meeting at the METSTRADE marine trade show in Amsterdam this week, from November 15-17 2023.
Representing Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS) at the show is the co-founder of Asia Pacific Superyachts and Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) Committee member, Gordon Fernandes.
“It is important to us to have an APS representative in place to meet face-to-face with our past and future clients and provide answers to owners and captains directly about cruising destinations and new regulations, which make it easier to cruise in the region,” says Fernandes.
“In addition to recommending custom itineraries uniquely crafted to APS regions, there’s always changes coming up for superyachts interested in returning or cruising the Asia and Pacific areas.”

Representing destinations throughout Asia and the Pacific, Fernandes will offer new information on the APS Network of agencies such as the Andaman Islands, Borneo and Langkawi in Malaysia, Bali and Raja Ampat in Indonesia, Koh Samui and Phuket in Thailand, Cambodia, Maldives, Singapore, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka.
He says he is looking forward to answering and discussing key questions from superyacht captains and other industry professionals, noting, “I’ll be in Amsterdam to discuss the most thrilling and least visited spots on the planet.”
Fernandes is keen to share inside information about the ‘Superyacht Hub of South East Asia’, Phuket, and some positive changes in Thailand and other Asian destinations.
As a committee member for APSA (Asia Pacific Superyacht Association), he is actively involved in promoting Asia as a superyacht cruising destination, reporting: “More and more facilities are coming online in the Asia/Pacific region, and there will be more growth in the future.”
