The 206 features the extraordinary external design of Tim Heywood, who created one of the more distinctive superyacht profiles in a semi-custom yacht series, with a scimitar bow and round porthole style windows in the lower decks.

“The AMELS 206 is a proven performer and a real headturner,” says Amels and Damen Managing Director Rose Damen. “She is a beautiful yacht with striking curves. We’re proud to be completing this yacht for our client and can’t wait to see her on her maiden voyage next year.”

The owner specified an elegant colour scheme in collaboration with exterior designer Tim Heywood and the AMELS design team, with a light grey hull and white superstructure highlighting the long lines from the Scimitar bow to the Swim Platform. The unique interiors are by Laura Sessa, working in collaboration with AMELS interior specialists.

The launch is part of a busy spring for Amels and the Damen shipyard, despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The yard has people working remotely where possible and has continued production by having production crews working in shifts.

This is the second known Amels LE superyacht featuring the distinctive scimitar bow shape to make its way to Asian waters. Currently, the 199 Limited Edition Event, which also features the same scimitar bow, is cruising in Palau and has been home ported in Hong Kong’s Gold Coast Marina.
