The latest offering from Pearl Yachts is put to the test in the waters off Mallorca...
AS A PRODUCTION BRITISH BOAT BUILDER, Pearl Yachts is dwarfed by the more easily brought to mind names of Fairline, Oyster, Princess, Sealine (now owned by Germany’s Hanse) and Sunseeker. This may be because it is the new boy on the block, having been founded in 1997, or it may just be a numbers game given that the company is happy with its low-volume output of around 12 boats a year.
The company was created by former superyacht Captain Iain Smallridge with the aim of designing a range of luxury motor yachts offering voluminous interiors, combined with opulence and design excellence.
