Design-driven and intimate, The Barai Hua Hin revives one of the country's most storied wellness addresses as a 98-room beachfront resort.
Set along the historic Khao Takiap coastline, long favoured by Thai royalty and, more recently, sailors drawn to the Gulf of Thailand’s steady breezes, The Barai Hua Hin began life 20 years ago as a spa, earning a global following for fusing Thai healing traditions with Western wellness practice.
Now a boutique resort under Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, this chic little respite channels that restorative spirit alongside Sanook, the Thai philosophy of finding joy in everyday living.

Architect Lek Mathar Bunnag has reinterpreted Thai heritage through shaded corridors, sculptural forms and tranquil courtyards, anchored by two bodies of water: the lagoon-like Forest Pool and the oceanfront Beach Pool.
The resort’s 98 rooms and suites, including 27 suites and two indulgent penthouses, feature deep soaking tubs, rainforest showers and generous balconies framing the tropical setting.
The Barai Spa, a homage to the property’s roots, sits at its heart as part of a two-storey Wellness Hub that offers pathways in sleep recovery, longevity and emotional wellbeing, guided by integrative practitioner Dr. Chuthamat “Cash” Srinoi.

This holistic approach trickles into the resort’s dining experiences, helmed by Chef Benn Rowe, whose White Cottage and McFarland House restaurants celebrate coastal seafood and Hua Hin’s storied past.
For those arriving by water, the coast’s calm conditions and nearby sailing clubs make the new arrival as rewarding to reach as to leave.
