Show organiser Wade Pearce expects the Singapore Yachting Festival (April 27 to 30, 2023) will be full a month before the start date
The upcoming Singapore Yachting Festival is proving popular with potential exhibitors and the show is on track to be a full house when the show starts on April 27, according to show organiser Wade Pearce.
“We have 80% of the berths reserved with all newly delivered boats (10m-45m), and another 20-30 supply and service companies with booths on the water,” Pearce told Asia-Pacific Boating. He said that the show was likely to be full at least one month before the start of the exhibition.
“This is far above our expectations,” Pearce added. “This will allow us more time to create promotional tools around Singapore and Asia to attract more visitors than we originally thought possible.”
The new Singapore Yachting Festival picks up after the Singapore Yacht Show, which had previously been staged at ONE°15 Marina and was postponed in 2020 after the first outbreak of Covid 19.
The Singapore Yachting Festival is organised by SG Marine Guide and its founder Wade Pearce, who had worked as commercial director for the Singapore Yacht Show.
On February 27, Simpson Marine announced its attendance at the show, with a full line up of yachts that includes the latest models from Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Beneteau, Lagoon, Fairline and Aquila.
“We are glad to be part of the Singapore Yachting Festival this year, after three years of no boat shows in Singapore due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its social limitations on gatherings and events. We are excited to present some of the most exceptional yachts in our fleet including a Sanlorenzo SX88, Singapore’s first SX76 and BGX60, Southeast Asia’s first Lagoon 55, an Oceanis 51.1, Singapore’s first Fairline Squadron 50 and more yachts from our brands,” said Richard Allen, Group General Manager of Simpson Marine, in a statement.

ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove: Pearce expects over 9,000 visitors to the Singapore Yachting Festival
Pearce said that the new Singapore Yachting Festival would have a stronger focus on the ‘luxury lifestyle’, with more parties and events aimed at yacht owners and the yacht curious. “The boating lifestyle is what we need to promote – this becomes the steppingstone for boat owners to go from 20ft to 30ft, 70ft to 90ft,” Pearce said. “The next aspect is destination-driven. The event will have a one-day conference focused on how and where you can take your boat to different countries in Southeast Asia.”
The Singapore Yachting Festival takes place from April 27 to 30, 2023, at the ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Singapore.
